VerbSquirt’s approach is to simulate the rapid recall and listening skills a langage learner needs when using verbs, and to help the user improve those skills.

Instead of asking for conjugations based on the name of the tense, VerbSquirt challenges the user to find the closest possible translation for the English action they want to describe.

Once fluency improves, VerbSquirt helps the user gain familiarity with the different rules of conjugation, and with the exceptions, leading to a better understanding of the subtleties of the language.
